Hey Moms - How About Kids Movies on the Skinny!


For those with little ones, during the summer holiday eventually a rainy day will happen, or one that's too hot to even go swimming, or the dreaded day you finally hear "I'm bored" - these movies at a cheap price may just be the ticket you're looking for then!

Regal's Summer Movie Express:
During Regal's Summer Movie Express 2011, moviegoers of all ages can enjoy a selection of G- or PG-rated movies for only $1 at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

A portion of the proceeds from the Summer Movie Express will be donated to the Will Rogers Institute, which uses the money to fund the institute's mission in the areas of medical research and health education.

Cinemark's Summer Movie Clubhouse:
Purchase a $5 punch card for admission to 10 weeks of movies at the Cinemark Cinema in Oak Ridge.

Movies are screened during weekday mornings and are the same price for parents and kids. You can purchase all 10 movies for $5 in advance or purchase tickets for just $1 per show at the box office. The $5 series punch cards are limited and are available at the box office while supplies last. Admission with a series punch card is limited to one person per card per movie.

This first annual outdoor celebration festival right here in Knoxville at The Worlds Fait Park will feature two stages on the lawns featuring many popular Christian artists inclusing Third Day, Mercy Me, Jars of Clay, Hawk Nelson, Shane & Shane, Seabird, and many many more! Also the World’s Fair amphitheater will host the “Festival of Choirs” a gathering of local area church choirs which will set the tone for an amazing local worship experience. Exciting entertainment, exhibits, Christian art walk, and children’s pavilion will all be included for a fun, family oriented, Spirit filled two day celebration.

Lets Go Tubing Ladies!


Join us at 10am Saturday June 18th at River Rage in Townsend (the upper location, next to Little River BBQ) for a day of tubing and fun! Sign up at Connection Point starting Sunday May 22nd and pick up a waiver form for each lady or girl coming with you. The deadline for waivers and $ is June 11th so we can make sure to reserve the correct amount of tubes and life vests.
Anyone 3 and up can tube, but those under 13 years of age must be accompanied by a adult who will sign off as being responsible for them.
The cost will be $8 per person, or $13 per person if you want a BBQ lunch included.
Both also include tubes, life vests, and unlimited shuttle rides to drop off points so you can tube all day if you like!
There are 3 routes you can choose from ranging from 1 & 1/2 up to 3 hours in length, so come for a couple hours or enjoy it all day.
When you sign up indicate if you are interested in carpooling and we'll put you in touch with anyone who signs up in your neck of the woods :)

Below is a list of 50 scripture verses on fear. In the NIV bible, there are more than 300 scripture verses on fear; these are just a few. Read through the list, find a few favorites, and memorize them. Better yet, print a copy and keep it in your handbag or computer bag! When you find yourself waiting- such as carpool, at a doctor appointment, or for a class to begin- pull out the list and read it. The best way to print the list is to copy and paste into a Word document.
